Almost back to Normal

Things are really coming together. We are almost back to normal. We still have some grass to plant and there are still plenty of projects to keep us busy for the fall but it's looking good. Currently we are in the planning stages of our Columbus Weekend Pig Roast. Will be posting the details soon.

The River Run

We weren't feeling to good about the River Run Weekend. The weather wasn't supposed to be that good and the river was pretty low due to the lack of rain. We didn't think anyone would want to go Kayaking. Boy were we wrong! It ended up being a great weekend. The sun was shining and a bunch of people got on their kayaks and took a chance that they'd make it. The water was low but passable in most areas and everyone had a great time. Our friend Collen got us some fabuous pictures from his Kayak. Check out our album on our Facebook page. Jack cooked burgers and dogs at 5:00. At 7:00 the kids, who had been waiting patiently all day, got to make their own Sundae's at the Ice Cream Social.

Luau/Pig Roast Schedule

Kids and Camping

There is something special about kids and camping. We just did Kids Rule weekend with all sorts of games and fun for the kids. Ice cream for breakfast, movies, games at the pool, a huge slip n' slide, a bounce house and pie eating contest. It was so much fun. We all had a good time, the staff and the campers. It was busy but, it was all worth it just to see all the happy faces and hear the excited comments from our young friends. Even with all the "big" stuff happening there was still just honest to goodness camping fun going on. We had a young lady come in and buy a bar of soap for carving, folks went out kayaking, families went fishing, and stories were being told around campfires. With any luck the kids will be telling stories about this camping trip for a good long time.

Rib Fest

We just got done with the Rib Fest and boy was it delicious. Jack and Ron did a great job on the grills and our friend Jim kept right up with them cutting and serving. That's what going camping is all about. Good times, good friends and good food. So what if we gain a couple of pounds in 3 days. We'll work it off later. Right now it's time for the ice cream social!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all you fine Dads out there. We will be seeing some of you this weekend but if anyone needs a last minute gift, we still have a few sites available. Maybe dear old Dad would like to kayak down the Baker River. We are offering half price kayak rentals from the hot deals section of the website.
It's been a good week at Riverbrook. We have some folks here for Bike Week and the rainy beginning to the week didn't dampen their spirits. We also had the big Stanley Cup game on Wednesday night and once again Jack set up the game room, and cooked some burgers. Some of our Canadian friends joined the party so we had fans for both teams. As everyone knows, the Bruins ended up winning the Stanley Cup and we're happy to report that their were no riots in the park.

SOGGY START

It wouldn't be bike week in NH without a little bit of rain. We had a soggy start to the week but if the weatherman is correct, things are going to improve. Today was already an improvement. Maybe tomorrow we'll see the sun!

The "Game Room"

The weekend after Memorial is usually a quiet one, but we had a few campers this weekend and the big event was the Bruins game. After the Ice Cream social Jack set up a TV in the game room so the fans could get together to watch the game. Unfortunately they lost, but everyone still had a good time. I didn't stay for the game but I enjoyed the Banana Pudding Ice Cream! To anyone who likes Banana Pudding I highly recommend it. The Cappuccino Crunch is also quite delicious. Ask for a sample at the next ice cream social.

Memorial Weekend....Full and Fabulous!

Wow! What a nice weekend. We all had a wonderful time, the campers and the crew. The weather was fantastic. We had 2 bands come in and play on Saturday, The Flames and Acoustic Blue and they were wonderful. It was our own mini music festival. The weather was perfect for swimming on Sunday and Monday. We didn't quite have the pool ready but no worries. That's the beauty of being on the river. Folks just grabbed their towels and went down to the beach. The kids kept the playground hopping and after busy days of swimming and playing it was nice to cool down at the ice cream social in our new Front Porch Ice Cream Parlor or maybe a hayride around the property. It was a nice start to the summer season and we look forward to many more great weekends here at Riverbrook.

Moose Tour Weekend

This weekend is the 2nd Annual Moose bus tour. Normally, events at the campground are very weather sensitive, but not the Moose Tour. The bus is warm and dry, the Moose don't care about the weather, and you can't ask for better tour Guides. It's a very entertaining and informative ride. Seeing the Moose is only half the fun. Only $34.00 a ticket! The bus will pick up and drop off passengers at the front porch. Check them out on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/PemiValleyMooseTours?sk=wall

Just a couple of pictures

Just a couple of pictures of the store. It's looking good.

General info.........No More Gate Code

For those of you have camped with us in the past, this is a big change. We have changed the system for the Resort Gate. Instead of a Gate Code, we have a Gate Card. There is a $10.00 deposit per card when you check in. Turn in the card when you leave and you get your $10.00 back. With the office now located at the dealership we can have this kind of system and we think it's going to work out well for everyone. If you got a reservation confirmation with gate code #'s, please disregard. If you have any questions, give us a call.

We're Going Green!!!

There has been some excitement in the Dealership Store. Fresh green paint and a whole lot of new merchandise. Riverbrook Resort and Dealership have combined their retail space. From now on the campground office and store will be at the dealership. It's looking great, and it's so convenient. Check in to your campsite, schedule some service work, buy candy and RV parts, maybe even grab a cup of coffee... all at the same place. Now that's service.

Plenty of ways to cool down

Some of our campers often take advantage of the pool or the Baker River on warm summer days! Other times you can find yourself on the wrong end of a DUNK TANK or sliding down an inflatable water slide. Make sure to call the campground office or check the website to see a list of activities that may be happening during your stay with us! Staying cool is important!

No repairs too large...No repairs too small

We have many amenities for our campers to take advantage of while staying at the resort. I thought that I would take a couple minutes to remind existing and to inform new campers that you can always have repairs done at your campsite while staying at Riverbrook RV Resort. All you have to do is call the resort reservation office or contact the service department at the dealership and setup an appointment. We will be happy to help with any RV issue you may be experiencing. We all know what its like to get to a new destination and have something go wrong. Don't sweat it! We are always glad to help! Talk to you soon...
